YOGA THERAPY
I offer different modalities of yoga therapy so that we can choose the most effective path with you.
During a yoga therapy session everything we do is personalized – whether it is for physical pain, effects of stress, recovery from an illness/accident or whether you wish to supplement your sports regime or deepen your yoga practice. After an initial discussion to evaluate your needs, you will be offered a specific path to help you re-establish a state of well-being.
EMBODYMENT®
Founded on the principles of Svaroopa® yoga, Embodyment® is a deeply regenerating yoga therapy that uses touch and awareness to facilitate the release of deep tensions and thus trigger our body's self-healing ability. Embodyment® therapy is effective for reducing pain, anxiety and stress, restoring a sense of peace and overall well-being.
During the session you will lie in shavasana, a yoga position of relaxation, while the therapist places her hands in key areas of the spine.
Sessions last approximately 1 hour and can be scheduled on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis. In particular cases it may be more effective to plan a series of Embodyment® sessions closer together to obtain maximum benefits (overlap healing).
YOGA THERAPY
During a yoga therapy session everything we do is personalized. After an initial discussion, we will use specific poses with particular alignments and adjustments to meet your personal needs. Depending on your circumstances, you may be given a regimen to follow at home.
Sessions last 1 hour and can be scheduled on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis.
VICHARA
Vichara is a yoga practice of guided introspection that is very effective in highlighting mental patterns that hinder our well-being that we are often unaware of and/or struggle to let go of.
Sessions last at least 1 hour and can be scheduled as often as you like.
YOGA FOR REHABILITATION
This yoga therapy approach stemmed from my personal experience following several accidents I had during my life which forced me to have long periods of reduced mobility and recovery.
The profound awareness of my body, which many years of yoga practice have given me, has allowed me to modify many yoga poses so that they can be practiced even in conditions of very little mobility. This practice, combined with physiotherapy, increases the effectiveness of the latter, greatly speeding up your recovery times.
